February 9th New Moon Intention & Affirmation

The new moon is upon us, so I have a new tarot curated intention and affirmation for us to work with. This moon cycle I used the Light Seers Tarot, and we pulled Death/Rebirth (you might recall we pulled this archetype on the January 11th new moon), The Emperor, and the Seven of Pentacles.

Be sure to have a look at the cards to see what they awaken in you let’s dive in.

Intention: There’s no shortage of opportunities to transform, build, and nurture our vision for the future. This moon cycle let’s patiently cultivate the fertile ground of dreams by releasing what doesn’t align with our intentions, knowing that doing so establishes a strong foundation for the future.

Affirmation: I am a vessel of creativity, empowered to cultivate my deepest desires.

The Death archetype signifies transformation (or energetic death), not literal death. This new moon invites you to release outdated patterns, habits, or beliefs that hold you back (take time to find out what these are). Embrace change as an opportunity to evolve. Remember, letting go helps you build a strong foundation that’s aligned with needs, values, and desires.

The Emperor represents structure, discipline, and authority. This archetype encourages you to get organized, set clear goals, and take concrete steps towards your desires. It’s presence alongside the Death archetype emphasizes the importance of building strong foundations after a transformative phase. Discipline and organization will be key to ensuring new beginnings have a solid base to flourish.

The Seven of Pentacles signifies patience, perseverance, and reaping the rewards of hard work. This archetype suggests that your efforts are starting to pay off in seemingly small but powerful ways. Trust the process, stay focused, and you'll soon see the fruits of your labor.

True growth takes time and dedication. Trust the process and celebrate each step of the way. Nurture new projects and beginnings with patience and perseverance. Stay focused, consistent, and appreciate small victories.

We’re at a point in the Wheel of the Year when early blooming flowers are starting to awaken. February 1st marked the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Things are shifting in the natural world, and they are shifting in you as well.

Take some time to consider, perhaps even list out, what you’d like to let go of. Keep in mind that patience and dedication nourish your dreams and guide them towards consistent growth and evolution.

  • How do this moon cycle’s themes resonate with you?

  • In this moment, what’s your relationship to letting go?

  • What does a strong foundation look like to you? What does it feel like?

  • How about your relationship to consistency, dedication, and nurturing what’s important to you? Are you showing up? If so, show yourself some gratitude! If not, don’t beat yourself up, instead consider why this might be so.

How’s it going? Do share, you know I love to hear from you.
